Wilma has a BA in Creative Arts Studies (Music). She is a teacher of vocal and instrumental music at the elementary and middle school panels in North York / Toronto Board of Education for the past 34 years. She is the Director of both the Primary and Junior Choirs during which time three children albums were recorded. In 1978 she was the Assistant Co-ordinator for Firgrove Public School’s first elementary steel band. She is an accomplished piano and organ player and has conducted and directed church choirs since the age of 13. She is a former member of the North York Cabaret Singers for the past 12 years and a guest conductor for one year, and a member of the East York Choir since 2007. She is also a member of La Petite Musicale of Toronto and has served on their Board as Treasurer from 2003 to 2008. Wilma has also adjudicated the Calypso Competition in 2006 and 2009 and served as a previous judge and head judge at Pan Alive.
