Symphonyx Steel Orchestra is a division of Symphonyx Entertainment, a non profit organization that has been in existence for six years.  Our mission is to promote, develop and educate successive generations of young people in the performance and appreciation of the steelpan.  The band consists of mostly youths from the age of sixteen to twenty-one and a few adults who serve as mentors, volunteers and educators. 

The band has been very active over the past six years, participating in many events including Muhtadi’s Drumming Festival, Afrofest, Snowflakes on Steel, Heritage Village Day, Pan in the Park, Carnivalissima, Pan Alive and the annual Caribana parade.

The band is located at Commander Park Arena in Scarborough, Ontario and operates all year long.  It is sponsored by the Ontario Trillium Foundation, Callaloo Mas Band and Nova Steel Inc.
